High level Panel Discussion “Towards Eliminating Child Stunting for Inclusive and Sustainable Development in Africa”

The high level panel discussion “Towards Eliminating Child Stunting for Inclusive and Sustainable Development in Africa” was held at the margins of the Seventh Joint ECA and AU Annual Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development on 28th March in Abuja, Nigeria.

The high level panel was attended by Dr. Carlos Lopes, UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA); Dr. Mustapha S. Kaloko,  Commissioner for Social Affairs at the African Union Commission; Mr. Manoj Juneja,  Assistant Executive Director of the World Food Programme; Mr. Matia Kasaija, Minister of State Planning and Finance, Uganda; Mr. Michael Anderson, Chief Executive Officer, The Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF)and Mrs. Jasmine Whitbread, Chief Executive Officer, Save the Children International.

 The panel discussion was moderated by Ms. Yvonne Ndege, West African Correspondent for Al Jazeera.
